Tips for success in online classes

Since the stay at home order and online classes have started i have been having a hard time being strict and trying not to slack in my studies. The first few weeks I caught myself slacking, waiting until the very last minute for assignments, quizzes and not being as prepared as I should be for the exams I was taking. I was spending too much time doing other things, getting distracted and being worried about how much more COVID-19 is going to affect all of us. One thing that has helped me to be more productive and strict with my school is to set an alarm in the morning. This is such a basic thing that everyone does, but during self-isolation especially being locked in the house gets to you. Our sleep schedules get messed up and we can sleep until noon being tired and exhausted all day not wanting to do anything. By setting an alarm it has helped me to get us, get my day started and get my school work and lectures done early. Another thing that i have found super helpful and taken to my advantage due to the switch to online classes is working in groups. I wasn't super into working with others during my classes, but i have been loving it now. Getting Help from others, working together and realizing we are all in this together helps so much to keep me motivated and working. Switching up the location of homework and workling is also a huge one. This is easier said than done since we cannot leave our houses and nothing is open such as a coffee shop, but the littlest things or change of scenery can help so much. Even if it's going from doing your work in your bedroom to the kitchen table, or your basement, it was super nice outside today and I went outside on my patio to do my lectures and it got me in such a good mood.
I hope some of these things that I have been doing to deal with the situation and switch to online classes was a but helpful. Thanks for reading!
