Let’s Talk Breakfast!

You may hear people preach about how breakfast is the most important meal of the day and if you don't get it in your not going to live a healthy life. However, this is not the case, this concept is, in fact, a myth. Breakfast is an important meal but if you are not a breakfast person it is not a problem because eating consistently throughout the day will be just as healthy as a good meal in the morning. Depending on the day I will eat breakfast, but I figured I would share some of my thoughts and favorite breakfasts I like to make that are reasonably fast and very healthy!

Breakfast #1

An everything bagel with cream cheese and salmon is always one of my go-to's. This is a great breakfast and if your an early bird and get your workout in early this is good for afterward. The carbs from the bagel and the salmon are great for post workout.

Breakfast #2

Another super fast breakfast I love to make when I'm in a rush but still want to get something in my stomach is eggs whites and spinach. You can either make this into an omelet or you can scramble it, I personally prefer it scrambled. I get two egg whites and a handful or how much baby spinach you want, then when I put it in my bowl I usually put a little bit of shredded cheese on top, it will melt over the hot eggs and tastes great!

Breakfast #3

I don't think that this would be an actual blog post about breakfast food that I'm a fan of if I don't get avocado toast in here, so here we go. I have been eating avocado toast since I was in 5th grade and till this day it is still my favorite this to eat for breakfast or even for a snack! This is such a go-to after the gym, the avocado serves as a good fat not to mention the carbs from the toast. There are so many ways people prep this and serve it. the way I do it is with sourdough bread, avocado (obviously), fried egg on top, then topped with pink sea salt which is a healthy version of salt. Another way I like to do it if I am not feeling an egg is I substitute it with cherry tomatoes and then sprouts! The best avocado toast I've had yet is from Hampton Social in Naples, and one of my favorite YouTubers Lauren Elizabeth did a video on how she makes her avocado toast which will be linked below! Breakfast #4

This next breakfast probably ties with avocado toast for being not only one of my favorite breakfast foods but also one of my favorite things to eat in general, Acai Bowls! I love Acai bowls, it is hard to get really good ones where I live, however, a decent place I found is Better Health Market & Caffe. I also love making my own just because it is cheaper and I can put as much of an ingredient or as little as alike. Another one of my favorite YouTubers and models Alexis Ren made a video on how she makes her Acai bowls and I love how they taste! If you want to watch the video click on the image below.

Drinks!

I want to talk quickly about some of my favorite drink to have in the morning if I don't eat breakfast that will help me throughout the day.

Kombucha: Some might not be a fan of these drinks and I can somewhat understand why. I personally love these, they make me feel great after thinking them and really make me prepped for the day.

Matcha Green Tea: I love to drink matcha either in the morning or before I go to bed. I drink it hot but you can also drink it iced, I know you can get this from Starbucks and I'm sure it is tasty, but I get my Matcha from Trader Joe's.

Cold Brew: If you need something to really wake you up and get you ready for the day, this is the solution! This is a very bitter tasting drink that is extremely strong and may need to be watered down, but it does really wake you up and help you in the morning if you are tired.

Thanks for reading loves! Until next time.
